If you’ve been following along with our year so far, you know that it has been one to remember! We are truly having the time of our lives, and we’re barely halfway through the semester. If not, listen up! Here’s what Tri Chi has been up to since August:

First of all, we got 3 great new beaus! Brent Northington (senior), Kyle Jackson (sophomore), and Adam Jones (senior) donned the classic pink letter shirts and jumped in the fountain at the beginning of this year, and we are overjoyed to have such great guys representing our club! We truly have the best beaus on campus!

PC ’15 went all out for 80’s night, making TWIRP week an eXXXciting event for the whole campus! They provided popsicles, throwback jams, and rad dance moves. Our flag football team also had a great run this year, achieving their goal of getting a single touchdown! We may not have won a lot of games, but we had a lot of heart!
At the start of the Tigers’ season, we participated in the first home game pep rally and had a joint tailgate with the Men of Eta Alpha Omega. We love cheering on Ouachita with our sisters as well as other clubs!
Many of our sisters chose to spend a Saturday morning this semester serving the community of Arkadelphia for Tiger Serve Day! It was a wonderful opportunity for bonding and getting to know our sisters, all while serving our socks off!
Finally, to the pinnacle of our semester so far — Tiger Tunes! Our theme this year was MaTChes, and we truly brought the heat! We received FIRST PLACE, People’s Choice, and many of the preliminary awards such as Costume, Choreography, Musicality, and Overall Entertainment! We owe it all to our wonderful, encouraging, fun-loving, and creative directors Emma Riley, Ali Robinson, and Mari Bednar.

What a whirlwind of a time it was! From the practices filled with laughter, love, hard work, pantsing, dance parties, snacking, Tunes show watching, and much more, to our performances on the JPAC stage, we gave it our all. We are proud to have been Tri Chi MaTChes!
The Men of Eta Alpha Omega came in 2nd as Dads and the Men of Kappa Chi placed 3rd with Safari. It was an excellent Tiger Tunes overall, and the Ouachita Student Foundation raised thousands of dollars for student scholarships! We are so thankful to have been a part of this cause.
But wait! It doesn’t end there! At OBU’s homecoming game, we were proud to cheer on FOUR of our lovely sisters who were on Homecoming Court! AND our very own Fall President, Bonnie Magee, was crowned Homecoming QUEEN! She embodies the spirit and character of a Ouachitonian, and is undeniably deserving!

Huge thanks to our Alumni Correspondent Tori Pierceall for organizing our Homecoming Alumni Tea! Everyone had a great time! Thanks to all who stopped by.
Last but certainly not least, we held a blowout for PC ’13 senior Allie Hegi, who got engaged!
Whew! This has been a busy and exciting semester so far to say the least, and it isn’t over yet! We are learning to love our letters more and more everyday, and it is truly a blessing and honor to be a part of such a loving and Christ-honoring group of women. Until next time!
